Creative Endeavors: Wanna Laugh?

My kids recently showed me how to create my real laugh.  Not the fake one reserved for the homemade knock-knock jokes or the ones they say I give the mailman, but my real God-given laugh.  The laugh that, had YouTube been around in the 70’s, I might have been an overnight sensation. You know, like one of the over 44,000 results you’ll find when you search out Laughing Babies.  One that, quite honestly, I don’t do often enough in my day-to-day life.  (Unless of course I find the laughing twins who crack themselves up in some language only they understand, then I can’t stop laughing, but I digress.)

This post is about creating laughter. So, if you want to find your real laugh, do like 5th grade P.E. class: Go and find yourself a partner.

1.  Lie on your back on the floor and cross your arms over your chest.

2.  Get your friend to press on your arms.

As your friend crushes your chest, your true laugh will emanate.

Yes it’s silly, but laughter is meant to be silly and out of control, a reprieve from normal emotions. We were born able to do it naturally and considering there aren’t even 2,000 YouTube videos of Laughing AdultsI think we all could use a dose of our real laughter.
