I just love this story! It is amazing how much our children have to teach us- if we just take the time to listen.

Hi Angie- thank you. I would be happy to meet with your daughter. I'm sorry that I missed you last night, but hope that you got a chance to see the rangoli before the rain came.

I love your daughter's picture. She is very astute about the earth! I just saw your e-mail about the giant bird feeder project and I am so thrilled. My daughter, Lee, would love to meet you. She has had a very interesting life for her 17 years and I think your wonderful organization could help her. She had a bone marrow transplant in 2006 and her art therapist, Lisa Harvey ,was a God send! Now, Lee is looking at colleges, one of them is Columbia College(my mother went there, she's now 83) and she very much wants to be an art therapist. We have met President Whitson and have taken two tours of the school! We LOVE Columbia College. Thanks for reading. Hope to meet you on Lincoln street. Angie Bledsoe

I work intentionally at making my home a welcoming haven, for my family and for guests. I enjoy cooking and like improvising with whatever is in the larder. Paper crafts are a new hobby for me and I love taking plain ol' paper and making a box or a card or a collage or whatever strikes my fancy. I mindfully incorporate creativity into each day. Without it, I'm a grump! We are made in the image of The Great Creator and we are designed to create.

What a beautiful story, giving example of unconditional love. Valentine's Day sometimes will bring distance to the purity of love. If we are not mindful of our motives we may find ourselves with feelings of hurt when we realize our gift may have conditions connected, (ie: I bring you a card or flowers and in exchange I know you too will have something to give me.) But unconditional love is everyday and always. It is when we give with no expectation of anything returning to us. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful story. Happy Valentines!
